A MOUNTAIN OF WOODS AND PATHS

SUMMER AT OASI ZEGNA: GREEN WELLBEING FOR EVERYONE

  • share on:
Walking in the woods is a regenerating experience. Observing and contemplating the beauty of nature is one of the most uplifting experiences imaginable. And Oasi Zegna – a freely accessible mountain park in the Biella area – is the ideal place to do it.

Here, time and space can be used at will, whether you choose trekking (or Nordic walking) with expert guides or walking on your own on one of the many paths (all signposted and nearly all suitable for everyone). And this experience can be combined with meditation, yoga or climbing.

Here, time and space can be used at will, whether you choose trekking (or Nordic walking) with expert guides or walking on your own on one of the many paths (all signposted and nearly all suitable for everyone). And this experience can be combined with meditation, yoga or climbing.

During the summer, nighttime treks through the woods, guided by lantern lights, are being organized so you can enjoy special moments of contemplation. They will also go up into the ‘highlands’ of uncontaminated Valsessera to discover the silent inhabitants of Oasi Zegna, the trees and flowers.

Extraordinary experiences are to be had here, such as Forest Bathing on paths kept specially for this kind of wellbeing practice, which is an important stress relieving protocol in Japan’s national healthcare system.

Exploring this territory on foot (and at your own pace!) is the best way to enjoy its unforgettably beautiful panoramas, such as the 360° view from Santuario di San Bernardo across the Po Valley plains, Valsessera and the arc of the Alps.

The woods are the heart, the very essence of Oasi Zegna. They are the spirit of a green project that’s rooted in the past, in the early decades of the 20th century, when Ermenegildo Zegna decided to revive an exploited and desolate mountainside by planting some 500,000 trees along the 26 km long Panoramica Zegna road.

And they are still the focus of action at Fondazione Zegna, which recently launched Zegna Forest, a project to safeguard the woods against the lethal effects of climate change and a campaign to get the public to play an active role in this reforestation.

A mountain of woods and paths is a good way for us to enjoy the mountains and nature. So don’t miss these local initiatives offering experiences that will enable you to enjoy the true benefits of our woodlands.
