The workshop is a full immersion in the knowledge and experience of the therapeutic and restorative power of nature and green spaces.
A first theoretical part deals with the scientific, cultural and social aspects that support the value and usefulness that nature manifests for the health and maintenance of our well-being.
The practical part offers the rare opportunity to explore the beech woods of Oasi Zegna, experiencing 3 different techniques and modes of direct contact with nature, each of which offers a specific and enlightening interpretation of our relationship with it and the benefits deriving from it.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide useful elements to learn how to consciously reconnect with the therapeutic power of woods, parks and green spaces and sustain our psychophysical well-being in nature.
FOREST BATHING: THEORY AND PRACTICE
The theoretical part takes place in a single session of approximately 3.5 hours on Friday afternoon. It will cover the topics and scientific evidence supporting our biological need for greenery and nature, as well as descriptions of current techniques, practices and knowledge for obtaining maximum benefit from natural environments. The meeting is supported by audiovisual material.
The practical part consists of 3 sessions in the woods (max. 3 hours each), held on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, in which you will experience the following techniques: Forest Bathing, Bioenergetic Landscapes, Therapeutic Landscape (the psycho-emotional influence of the landscape), led by Marco Nieri. During these undemanding walks, our expert will illustrate a concrete application of what was described in the theoretical part, offering useful suggestions for the self-promotion of health in nature.
During the practical experience, at certain points in the woods, the participants will be invited to practice some Pranayama techniques - deep conscious breathing - guided by Alessandra Pergreffi, in order to enjoy full pulmonary assimilation of the monoterpenes emitted by the trees, thus supporting our immune system and health.
