Oropa, Candelo and Oasi Zegna among the most visited spots in the Biella Alps

The Biella area in autumn offers some highly fascinating and interesting opportunities for tourism, with easy to reach destinations appealing to people with differing needs. A list of top attractions in the Biella Alps would certainly include Oropa, Candelo and the entire area within Oasi Zegna, in Trivero – Valdilana. Oasi Zegna is rich in paths to explore and panoramas to admire while relaxing in peaceful nature, not to mention the seductions of the local gastronomic offering: abundant, variegated and genuine.

On Sunday 8 September, the focus is on local history and traditions, with the Festa di fra Dolcino. There will be a march from Margosio up towards the Cippo di fra Dolcino for the annual public meeting of the Centro Studi Dolciniani. is also a day of Muscular Awakening at the Parco Avventura. Immersed in the peacefulness of the woods, from 10.00 onwards, exercises to reawaken the muscles, followed by a healthy lunch. Saturday 14 September will be awash with adrenalin thanks to some night-time Bungee Jumping: up to Colossus Bridge and then a leap out into 152 meters of void. Info: 015.702488.

On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September
, the 4th leg of the “4enduro”, an FCI-authorized national circuit race, will be run on trails through Oasi Zegna. Warm-up on Saturday, start on Sunday at 9.30 from the Centro Zegna. Info and registration: 4enduro.it.

Sunday 15 September, the key event on Oasi Zegna’s autumn calendar: the 6th FAI Panorama Day, on which Casa Zegna is organizing a musical afternoon featuring a concert in Ermenegildo Zegna’s “secret garden”, as well as guided walks, visits to the Padre e Figlio art exhibition and workshops for small children.

On Sunday 22 September
it will be the turn of Archeotrekking: on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, there will be a hike round the Upper Valsessera taking in the archaeo-mineralogical park and industrial archaeology sites.
