At Bocchetto Sessera

In Oasi Zegna, a nature park in the Biella Alps in Piemonte. This involves walking and resting in the woods to enjoy regenerating effects on mind and body.

Forest Bathing is an antique health practice originating in Japan and best done from June to September (when tree vegetation is at its height). It exerts an anti-stress action that normalizes pulse rate and blood pressure and strengthens immune defense.

Thorough monitoring by technical experts has shown that the air in the woods in Oasi Zegna is naturally rich in certain aromatic substances – monoterpenes – released by foliage (especially beeches) which can have a regenerating effect on people walking through or stopping in certain places.

Maximum benefit can be obtained by spending at least 11-12 hours in the forest over two or three consecutive days and walking at least 5 km a day. People with only one day available are advised to stay in the beech woods for at least 4 hours and walk around 5 km.
