Cross-country skiing or ski-mountaineering? There's something for everyone (and for all ages)
Routes winding through forest and alpine landscapes of incredible beauty
Bielmonte, in the heart of Oasi Zegna, is
getting ready for a new season with numerous activities for a highly diverse
public and with particular regard for the very young: from initiatives
specially designed for kids to those for skiers at all levels, from local
food&wine opportunities to nighttime outings, mountain watching, snowshoe
hiking and cross-country skiing in glorious nature. When the lifts open at the
beginning of December, visitors will be able to start getting back into top
form if they’re already passionate skiers, or learn and practice a new sport.
Cross-country skiers will be spoilt for choice in Oasi Zegna, with 20 km
of trails winding through forest and alpine landscapes
beauty, between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level. This
network is ideal of various skiing techniques and is accessed via Bocchetto
Sessera, where the Centro Fondo (Cross-country Ski Center) has a ski
school (group courses and individual lessons) with changing rooms, showers
& toilets and a ski rental service. With slopes kissed by the sun
all day and unforgettable views across the Po Valley plains, Val Sessera and Monte
Rosa, Bielmonte is also a baby-friendly resort.
Little skiers have over 50 instructors
from two ski schools at their service, as well as this special offer by the Consorzio Turistico Alpi Biellesi: on Sunday
8 December, buying a 1 hour lesson gives you a 2nd hour for free.
Also for kids, there will be special daily rate (5 euros) for the whole of the
season, provided they’re accompanied on the slopes by a parent.
