The Cammino di Ermenegildo is a journey through time and nature, a 3-day loop hike in the heart of Oasi Zegna, in the Biella Alps in Piemonte. An immersive experience devised for intermediate level hikers keen to explore new natural scenarios.
The trail follows the footsteps of the “solitary wayfarer” Ermenegildo Zegna, the forward-looking businessman who in the early 20th century launched a major social and environmental improvement program in the mountains around Trivero Valdilana, where the Zegna Wool Mill is still active. With its 100 km2 of woods, upland pastures and panoramic views across the Po valley plains and the arc of the Alps, Oasi Zegna is a unique nature reserve. The Cammino di Ermenegildo enables you to enjoy a genuine adventure amidst nature, culture and history and discover the timeless beauty of Oasi Zegna.

This fascinating and demanding mountain trek is suitable for people who are physically fit and used to paths with significant elevation differences and rough terrain. Certain sections may be slippery in the event of rain and there are points not recommended for those who suffer from height vertigo. The trail’s technical difficulty is T2 according to the SAC (Swiss Alpine Club) scale, its overall difficulty reflecting the technical skills and physical fitness required to do it.

HIKER’S PASSPORT AND KIT

Show your “passport” at the stop-over points and get a stamp! Stage by stage, you can “certify” your progress with a document testifying to your efforts, a souvenir to take home with you. Here are the places and times you can pick up the hiker’s kit:

    At the Centro Zegna, Trivero Valdilana (BI). Open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. On Sundays, open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • BAR DEL PONTE (Closed for vacation until August 19, 2026)
