Buy at least one adult ski pass and one reduced pass for a child up to and including 17 years of age from the same family at the ticket office: from then on the 20% discount applies to all family members, grandparents included. ID documents are required.

There are four age bands: baby from 0 to 4 years, child from 5 to 8, junior from 9 to 17, adult from 18 to 66. From 67 years the Over rate applies. Children up to 8 years ski free at night when accompanied by a paying adult.

Helmets are compulsory on the slopes. Third-party liability insurance is required by law for skiers: if you don’t already have one, you can ask for it at the ticket office together with your ski pass.

High season: all Saturdays, Sundays and mid-week public holidays, the Immaculate Conception long weekend (5 – 8 December), the Christmas holidays (23 December – 6 January), Carnival (6 – 13 February) and Easter (25 – 30 March). All other weekdays are low season.

Under the ticket office regulations, no refund is given if the lifts stop, partly or completely, or if a single slope is closed because of unforeseen events (strong wind, a technical fault, a sudden power cut). To choose the best time to come up with peace of mind, we recommend checking the official forecasts and weather bulletins of ARPA Piemonte.

Eighteen kilometres of slopes served by eight lifts: two blue slopes for beginners, nine intermediate red slopes and one black, the Dosso Grande. Plus five cross-country loops, from the 2 km nursery trail to the 9 km touring trail.

At the nursery slope, where you’ll find three conveyor belts for beginners: a very small one for the first turns and two longer ones to build up confidence on skis or snowboard before your first chairlift ride. The nursery slope pass is open to everyone (even without booking a lesson) and is sold by the hour: 20 € for one hour, 32 € for the whole day. If you are skiing or snowboarding for the first time, we still recommend relying on an instructor: Bielmonte’s two ski schools have more than sixty instructors, and you can join a group course or book a private lesson.

Usually from 4 years, when they can stand on skis and follow the instructor’s directions, but it varies a lot from child to child. For the youngest, the Ski Schools run Baby courses that combine play with a first approach to skiing. At the nursery slope the little ones also have their own conveyor belt and a very gentle slope. For the right advice on age, ask the ski schools directly.

Yes. Those enrolled in group courses can buy multi-day ski passes for 5 or 8 days, not necessarily consecutive, valid during the two-hour lesson. They are reserved for course participants and are booked through the ski schools.

Bielmonte is at 1,500 metres on the Panoramica Zegna road, in the Biella Alps. By car, leave the A4 at Carisio and continue towards Cossato, Valdilana and Trivero; from the east you can leave the A26 at Romagnano Sesia. It takes about 100 minutes from Milan and Turin, and about two hours from Varese and from Malpensa and Caselle airports.

The Panoramica Zegna is a mountain road: from mid-November to mid-April you must drive with winter tyres or carry snow chains. The road is cleared after snowfall, but it is always best to come prepared.

On the mountain you’ll find Bar della Panoramica and Chalet Massaro, where the weekly lunch and aperitif promotions also apply. Along the Panoramica Zegna there are also mountain huts and inns serving Biella cuisine.

Yes. The Piazzale slope has been floodlit since 1972 and on some evenings during the season it stays open after sunset. The evening ski pass costs 27 € for adults and 15 € for young people aged 9 to 17; children up to 8 years ski free when accompanied by a paying adult. Bielmonte is inside Oasi Zegna, a hundred square kilometres of freely accessible protected land. As well as cross-country skiing there are snowshoe hikes, walks on the snow and the Baby Park for the little ones. Within twenty minutes you’ll find mountain huts, inns and the wellness centre.

Piazzale 1 has about 150 parking spaces: some free, some covered and paid in high season (7 € for the whole day, 4 € from 1 pm). From Piazzale 2 you can reach the slopes directly via the Buca di Forno ski lift.

There are three ticket offices for ski passes: the main ticket office at Piazzale 1 and the one at the Piazzale chairlift accept cash, credit and debit cards; the ticket office at the Buca di Forno ski lift accepts cash only. In the mountain huts and bars, accepted payment methods depend on the individual operators.

Yes. Near the stairs and the main ticket office there is a lift that goes straight to the parterre level, where you’ll find the ski schools and the Panoramica bar.
