HOW TO REACH THE TRAILHEAD

Oasi Zegna is in Biella province in Piemonte, an hour and a half from Milan and Turin. It’s a large area in the Biella Alps. It can be reached from Trivero Valdilana, driving up to Bielmonte (the high point, 12 km from Trivero) and then down towards Valle Cervo, or driving up from Valle Cervo (Rosazza) to Bielmonte and then down to Trivero, where the Ermenegildo Zegna Wool Mill is still active. The Cammino trailhead is the Centro Zegna in Trivero Valdilana (in Via Guglielmo Marconi), opposite the Tourism Office.

WHERE TO EAT/SLEEP

On each leg of the Cammino di Ermenegildo, there are mountain refuges, farm-stays, inns and other facilities offering hospitality, food service and information about the area.

CAMMINO DI ERMENEGILDO GIFT

If you’ve got all the stamps and rubbings on your passport at the end of the Cammino, you’ll be able to pick up an exclusive gadget at Casa Zegna, the Zegna Shop or Bar del Ponte.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

Lightweight trekking rucksack (20-35 liters) with a rain cover, technical clothing (layered, breathable), trekking boots (already broken in), sun and cold accessories, personal hygiene kit. Energy snacks, water bottle or bag, mineral salts.


IMPORTANT WARNING

There are water fountains all along the trail but on the second leg there is water only on the first section, so make sure you set out with an adequate reserve.

SIGNPOSTING

The trail is properly signposted to ensure a safe and serene hiking experience. Along the way, hikers will see direction arrows and plaques bearing the Cammino di Ermenegildo logo (very visible and recognizable). Signposting has been installed in all key points along the way, including where the trail is less evident, so you can enjoy the Cammino in total tranquility.
